There are Two Monday to Friday shift patterns available – They are as follows:
1.06:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 22:00 (Double Days)
2.06:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 22:00 & 22:00 – 06:00 (The latest time you will ever finish on a Friday is midnight)

We are looking for Three Electrically biased maintenance engineering professionals to join our highly successful and established client in Wigan. Out of these three there is also the opportunity to employ someone who is looking to take that first step in to management or maintain a more senior role within the team. If you have man-management or leadership skills/ experience then we’d love to hear from you.

These vacancies provide engineering assistance for the facility and the operations department to ensure the efficient running of production machinery (food plant) and that the buildings continue to function as required. Reacting quickly and efficiently to repairs whilst minimising down time is a clear objective. This be supported by PPM and an ability to logically fault find and repair.

As the Maintenance Engineer your main responsibility is to minimise plant downtime as well as ensure the effectiveness of plant machinery using planned maintenance strategies & continuous improvement techniques. You will also be heavily involved in all capex and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:
The ability to provide rapid response to breakdown where local manufacturing team require assistance
To fault find, maintain and repair plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time
To trouble shoot and repair equipment; equipment and systems to include Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and PLC
Ensure spare parts are sourced as required in support of all the above
Enter maintenance data accurately into CMMS
Implement continuous improvement activities in all areas

In order to be effective in this position you will need to remonstrate the following skills & experience:
Time served electrical Engineer
Experience of working in a similar role.
You will come from a manufacturing, process or industrial background
