Lead Nurse
Location: Llanishen, Cardiff
Salary: £32,293 – £35,112 per annum (£17.50 – £18.00 per hour) + Excellent Benefits
Hours: Full Time – Days , 37.5 hours

Time Recruitment are assisting a community not for profit company who specialise in specialist nursing care and local sheltered housing care for a Lead Nurse , in one of their newly acquired facility in Llanishen, Cardiff.

The service is very highly regarded and has an excellent CSSIW report and outstanding reputation in the private healthcare sector for its impeccable standards; long standing home management and high levels of clinical excellence.

Currently recruiting for a Lead Nurse, they are keen to expand staffing levels on their General and Dementia nursing units; the service as a whole has 63 beds; split between 3 individual units; 20 beds on each making the units easily manageable.

The dementia unit has 2 staff nurses and a unit manager on during the day and has the best staff nurse to patient ratio’s in the area and comes recommended from CSSIW; the general nursing unit operates with 2 staff nurses and a unit manager also with a generous amount of skilled care staff and the residential side of the facility; the third unit caters to residential care.

As Lead Nurse your hours will be 3 long shifts one week, 4 the following week, with the expectation that you will provide a management presence in the home on alternate weekends. It is a supernumerary position to the nursing team and will centre largely around clinical governance, leading the nursing and care team and understanding your resident’s/family well ensuring the smooth running of all clinical activity in the service; driving forward high standards.

Experience/ Desirable:

* Desirable working as a Clinical Lead Nurse or Deputy Manager
* Registered NMC pin.
* Experience in an elderly nursing environment.
* Strong leadership
* QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
