Package – Weekly rate of £1,230.00 + Van
Our client is based in Yorkshire and are a building contracting business that specialise in the design and construction, refurbishment and fit out of leisure, retail and licensed pub and restaurant facilities for a robust and growing client base across the UK & Ireland.
The post of Site Manager is responsible to a Construction Manager for the safe, profitable and timely delivery of an individual project with genuinely outstanding efficiency and effectiveness.
Each Site Manager (SM) will report to a Construction Manager (CMs) whilst working with the Construction Support Manager (CSM) and the H&S Manager and their respective teams.
The principle duties of the Site Manager will include:
“Creating an environment in which all members of the construction teams and the team’s key partners live by the Company’s values of Honest : Proactive : Intelligent : Delivery
“Leading by example in all things at all times.
“Driving prescribed company process whilst using initiative and appropriate degrees of flexibility when required to ensure the delivery of the Company’s strategic intent, enhancement of client loyalty and planned profit targets.
“Providing input as required through consultation with the CSM on key partner selection and relationship management.
“Providing technical support to the project briefing process when assigned.
“Attending the internal project launch stage, which aims to ensure the SM is geared for success, and provide support as required to the tender verification and works package placement processes.
“Robustly taking responsibility for representing the Company alone at the clients pre-start meeting.
“Taking responsibility to a Construction Manager for safe project delivery within the cost, quality and time constraints set.
“Working closely with all project team members and key partners to ensure nothing less than a “right first time” ethos is promoted in all disciplines.
“Providing professional and technical support as required across the project to ensure practical pro-active solutions are provided to all construction related problems.
“Reporting regularly to a Construction Manager on progress, profitability, problems and solutions.
“Providing support the recruitment, appointment and continual review and development of construction staff as appropriate.
“Assist the CSM through consultation in the continual review and development of all key partners.
“Via the Training and H&S Manager ensure all necessary project legal documents, permits, inspections etc., are managed properly.
“With the Training and H&S Manager ensure regular site inspection, individual coaching and training etc. such that legislation and Company policy is foremost in all construction activity.
“Work closely with Commercial team to ensure any construction variations are properly recorded and the contractor are appropriately reimbursed.
The Site Manager should have a full UK driving license and be prepared to travel when required to the Yorkshire offices.
Site Manager Paid via Guild or invoice to LTD Company.
Candidate must have:
New Build experience across Hotels, leisure.
Scale of New Build are now Larger Format working with Easy Hotel, Premier INN, Emerald Developments.
Value Engineering across: timber framed, steel frame build.
Main Contractor background – 20-50men onsite and all sub contract control
Proven experience of inception to completion on projects across 5+
Open to nationwide travel
The title of Senior Site Manager may be granted to an individual who has outstanding experience, an ability to control more then one concurrent project and who has demonstrated an ability, with the right further development, to become a Construction Manager.
