Role: Team Leader

Home: Children with Learning Disabilities

Time recruitment are working with a well-established highly reputable Residential Service for Children in Wythenshawe who are currently recruiting for a Team Leader.

Our client is a social enterprise offering clinically informed practice to children who have experienced trauma earlier in their lives. Many of these children will also have suffered abuse, sexual, physical, and emotional, and some will have not, but all have suffered the trauma of parental rejection. It is our client's objective to improve the psychological health and wellbeing of looked after children. Their approach sets us apart from standard residential childcare providers in that it is clinically informed in every aspect of the child's lived therapeutic experience with the aim of helping traumatised children achieve recovery and psychological wellbeing.

Whilst working as a Support Worker you will work on a rolling rota of at least 47 hours per week (rota includes shifts, sleep ins).

Duties will include but not limited to:

To lead and motivate your team.

To prepare and operate a rota system that will ensure suitable levels of safety, security and care and oversight for the children cared for in your establishment.

To contribute to the Care Planning process of children cared for by our client

Attending and preparing for children's conferences, reviews, planning, core group and other meetings in connection with children placed with the Company

To deliver personal care when guided to by the young person's care plan

Candidates must possess:

NVQ 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent

Sport or activity leadership

1 year working in a children's residential setting

Experience of Family Placement Services

Experience of supervising staff in a social work setting
