In a recent survey conducted by multi-sector recruitment agency Time Recruitment Solutions, found almost two thirds, 59% of the 125 Employers questioned reported that they planned to increase their permanent staffing levels over the next 3-6 months. Construction and Industrial Employers lead the way with their reported employment expansion plans for the next six months.
Positive news for the industries temporary workforce also came from figures suggesting that 31% of Employers also anticipated needing to expand their temporary workforce in the short-medium term.
“We’ve seen clear growth within the local jobs market over the last 12 months” Said Paul Leaver, Director at Time Recruitment Solutions. “Employers are gaining confidence once again and as a result, new jobs are being created across the temporary and permanent jobs market. We’ve reported the biggest growth across the construction and industrial sectors and that trend looks set to continue.”
Co-Director Stephen Lyons added, “Our Industrial client numbers are at a record level, already running 11% higher than last year, which was the previous record. Construction clients’ numbers are up 13% year on year, further reinforcing Employer confidence. Whilst Employers gain confidence, they need a good recruitment partner to ensure they save time and money in the process. Increasingly our clients are using our ‘temp-to-perm’ option, allowing the candidate to be tested before a permanent contract is offered. This can often be far more reliable than traditional interview only methods.”
Time Recruitment has placed over 2000 temporary workers and over 200 permanent workers in to jobs in the Construction, Industrial, Health care and Commercial sectors over the past year.
