Care Assistant / Support Worker
Hours: 39 per week
Job Types: Full-time (Days/nights)
Location: Stockport
Salary: £11.00 - £16.50 per hour

Time Recruitment are working with a well-established Home Care provider. Their top priority is to provide the best quality care for all service users promoting independence, dignity, and happiness always, and they know this starts with recruiting the right people to work as a team.

The support worker must work as directed by the Registered Manager and the individual care plan. The manager is quite flexible in regards of travelling for slightly further out candidates. They will merge the candidate's visits into one morning or afternoon to prevent complications. Each visit will be at least 30 minutes to 1 hour and half and varies on each service user. The area's they cover are Altrincham/Stockport and the candidate will need to be available to travel.

Job Responsibilities:

*Assisting with Personal Care, including skin care, bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting (including management of bladder & bowels), dressing, hair care.
*Enabling mobility, including Moving & Handling transfers, pushing wheelchair, checking of specialist equipment.
*Dietetics, including assistance with menu planning, preparing, serving, and storing of foods.
*Assist customer to fulfil activities of daily living e.g. working, leisure, education.
*Assist with medications as prescribed by medical team.
*Dealing with correspondence and financial matters as requested.
*Day to day household tasks e.g. changing beds, laundry, ironing, shopping
*Respect for customer confidentiality and discretion always.
*Reporting & recording as per company procedure.
*Commitment for identifying and fulfilling ongoing personal development within Active Assistance.
*Always Adhering to company policies and procedures.

The Candidate:

* The required skills and knowledge to provide care and the willingness to take on additional training where required.
* Ability to build excellent interpersonal relationships.
* Proactive and flexible
* Excellent communicative skills
* Ability to work independently.
* Able to work under pressure.
* Must have full UK license and with access to their own car
* Available from the hours of 7am to 11.30pm at night
* All training and shadowing are paid at a set hourly pay rate of £10.42 per hour regardless of pay grade.
