About the Company: Specializing in gym fit-outs and occasional office projects, this position has become available due to the upcoming retirement of our current Quantity Surveyor/Estimator. We are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor comfortable with small estimations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual at either an intermediate or assistant level, with clear prospects for rapid promotion.
Job Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the estimation, cost control, and management of gym fit-out and office projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle small estimations, with a bonus for undertaking minor Mechanical and Electrical tasks currently subcontracted. Projects typically last between 10-14 weeks, and you will be involved in a mix of office and site-based activities.
Responsibilities: Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for small-scale projects. Quantity Surveying: Manage and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets. Mechanical and Electrical Tasks: Take on minor Mechanical and Electrical tasks, currently subcontracted out. Promotion Path: Demonstrate the potential for promotion to a higher level within a short period. Project Types: Primarily involved in gym fit-outs with occasional office projects. Project Values: Manage projects with values between £100K and £3Mil. Site Visits: UK-wide site visits, approximately a 50/50 split with office-based work.
Qualifications: Intermediate or Assistant level of experience as a Quantity Surveyor. Comfortable with small estimations. Ability to handle minor Mechanical and Electrical tasks is a bonus. Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
