Job description
Senior Residential Support Worker
Salary: £22,307 per annum (Rising to £25,546 in April 2023)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Our client is based is a brand-new Children's home in Central Manchester and they are seeking a Senior Residential Support Workers who have previous experience working in a residential setting and shares our clients commitment to creating a positive and safe living environment. The Senior Residential Support Worker will be accountable to the Deputy Manager.
Duties will include but not limited too:
* Ensuring that each young person has a plan which reflects his / her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs and that this plan is regularly reviewed.
* Allocating a Key Worker for each young person with the principal responsibility of implementing the childcare plan.
* Establishing and monitoring high quality standards of care in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose and developing quality assurance measures to ensure these standards are maintained.
* Developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive.
* Taking responsibility for progressing any complaints or child protection concerns
* Working in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people
You will need demonstrate the extent that you have the necessary requirements for this role
Candidates must possess:
Level 3 in Health & Social Care (CCYP)
Minimum of 2 years' Supervisory experience
Significant residential care experience.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Full Driving License
