Staff Nurse
Wolverhampton (WV2)
£18.50 per hour + Benefits
Days - 3 shifts one week - 4 shifts the next

Time Recruitment is on the search for an exceptional Staff Nurse for a truly innovative recovery service that focuses on the needs and recovery of people with enduring mental health needs.

This CQC rated good service is divided into two specialist units focusing on the different needs of people at varying times in their recovery journey.

- 17 bedded recovery unit - ran by an experienced occupational therapist
- 15 bedded medium to long term unit - nurse led but unit manager on this unit

The recovery pathway from admission to discharge within this unit is aimed at two years maximum but with a vast and varied MDT you can be guaranteed of unrivalled staff nurse to patient ratio's!

As a Staff Nurse here you should have:

Current and valid NMC registration
Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills
Previous experience of working with adults with a mental health diagnosis
Leadership qualities and the ability to work well within a team
Demonstrates a caring, compassionate and positive attitude

Specific Staff Nurse Duties:

Assists with the assessment of nursing care needs - MCA
Care Plan and risk assessment plans
delivers and evaluates individual care / treatment plans in consultation with Service Users, their relatives and the Care Team.
Supervises care staff in the delivery of high standards of care / treatment to achieve planned goals.
Participates in care staff supervisions and reviews and assists with the induction and orientation of new care staff
Maintains the safe custody, administration, dispensing and storage of medication according to NMC Administration of Medication.
Participates in clinical audit / quality / continuous improvement processes.
Ensures professional integrity and accountability, working at all times within the Nursing and Midwifery Councils 'Code of Professional Conduct' and any other service-specific Codes of Practice e.g. Mental Health Act (1983)
