Long term progression into Technical Claims
You will be responsible for working on campaigns on behalf of Insurers where you will carry out a first notification of loss call. This will involve speaking to a customer after they have been involved in an accident, logging the details of the crash and ensuring all data is entered accurately into a CRM system.
The role is rewarding, fast paced and will allow you to gain experience in an industry worth over £13 billion in the UK. Motor Insurance is an essential product and is a legal requirement for every driver, this means you would be working in a stable industry and building your technical knowledge in a specific industry.
The role for a Trainee Claims Handler
– Being the first point of contact for a customer with a Motor Insurance policy, who is going through the claims process.
– You will manage the process and liaise with internal and external parties.
– Setting up new claims on the system and arranging for contractors to manage repairs.
– Working in line with FCA guidelines and following regulatory requirements

– The ability to work at a fast pace
– Customer service experience – whether that’s retail, face to face or over the phone
– A polite telephone manner
– Proactive nature

– The hours ; Monday – Sunday 8.00am – 7.00pm on a rota basis working 37.5 hours per week. Rotas are issued weeks in advance usually and they try to give everyone a fair share of weekends and weekdays so you aren’t always working the same shift.
