Our client are a good sized construction company that specializes in fast-track fit-out projects for major retail clients such as Sports Direct, Specsavers, Primark, and more. The nationwide operations require a skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join their team and oversee the successful completion of multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Description:
As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of fast-track fit-out projects within the retail sector. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be the primary point of contact for our clients and will be responsible for ensuring that their requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that they are met.
Develop project plans and schedules, and ensure that they are followed.
Manage project budgets and ensure that costs are controlled.
Manage the performance of subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality.
Identify and manage project risks.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify any issues.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the fast-track fit-out projects for the retail industry.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Strong negotiation skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to travel nationwide to visit project sites.
The client is based in the North East, where you would be expected to visit a few times a month. Nationwide visits are critical with fast-track projects taking place up and down the country.
The salary for this role will be around £50k - £55k plus a package.
