A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client - A well established and award winning design, build and reactive maintenance company.
This role will be primarily based out of their office in London but will require national travel to visit the sites and meet with clients and they will offer some hybrid working as the successful candidate will manage their own diary.
This is a very varied and hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, so it offers a lot opportunity to develop and expand your knowledge and skills.
The day-to-day duties will include the below:
Duties & responsibilities
* Produce project profit budgets and ongoing analysis of costs * Capture site omissions and additions * Monitor, measure, and report key profit opportunities and concerns * Liaise with finance team * Accountable for receiving and collating client orders * Produce final accounts on allocated projects * Update and control client SOR's * Complete the role of contract administrator where required * Regular site visits to establish variations and valuations * Complete full project tenders when applicable * Obtain competitive tenders for project package
Required Skills and Experience
* Excellent time keeping and able to manage own workload and work to deadlines * Comfortable working alone or as part of a team * Ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive, have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail * Must have at least 3 years experience working in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally in a construction based role and leisure and hospitality experience would be advantageous * Must have good Microsoft Office skills including excellent Excel capabilities - experience of Microsoft Project would be advantageous * Role will involve the use of numerous databases and software so candidates will need the ability to learn new software and processes quickly
The salary for this role will be around £55k plus a package, including an oyster card and other perks and benefits, including a bonus scheme.
