Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: £43,000 - £70,000
Department: Accounts and Tax
Reports To: Accounts and Tax Senior Manager / Director
Direct Reports: 1
37 holidays per annum
Hybrid working with 2 days each week working from home

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts and Tax Senior to join their dynamic team.

The Role:

As an Accounts and Tax Senior, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Accounts and Tax Department. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns, managing client relationships, and contributing to bespoke tax planning engagements. Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review financial statements and corporation tax returns for larger clients and groups.
- Review year-end accounts and tax prepared by junior team members, and management accounts for entrepreneurial clients.
- Participate in bespoke tax planning and special work engagements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Assist in the development of junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external requirements.
- Report directly to the senior manager and/or Director.

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in general practice.
- ACA / ACCA Qualified, Part Qualified, or Qualified by Experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems, including email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of customer-contact systems and the importance of customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to maintain professional relationships and handle emotions well.

- Understanding of the firm's customers and sector.
- Awareness of the firm's service offerings and goals.
- Ability to serve as a role model for team behavior.
