Job description

My Client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of clean room lighting equipment and luminaires for laboratories, pharmaceutical areas, semi-conductor manufacturing areas, hospitals, kitchens and food preparation applications. Their customer base includes many blue chip companies worldwide.

They require a assembly operative to work from their manufacturing site in Denton.

Assembly and Production Tasks
* LED Board Assembly: Complete the assembly of LED boards, frame assembly, gasketing, riveting, and glass insertion.
* Fittings Assembly: Assemble fittings and insert gear trays into bodies.
* "First Off" and SP Assemblies: Complete initial assemblies and special-purpose (SP) assemblies as required.
* Wiring: Wire light fittings according to specifications.
* Testing: Conduct testing on completed light fittings, ensuring proper functionality and completing necessary labeling and documentation.
* Packaging: Package and palletise finished products for delivery or storage.
* Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements outlined in the company's Risk Assessment plan while working in the production areas.
* Report Non-Conformance: Ensure the quality of work and report any defective or non-conforming products to the Cell Leader for corrective actions.
* First Off Creation: Produce a "First Off" sample and obtain approval before proceeding with the full batch production.
* Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Cell Leader to develop safe and consistent products and improve manufacturing processes.
* Complete Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete documentation throughout the manufacturing process, complying with ISO and SAGE system requirements.
* Maintain Workspace: Ensure that the working area, tools, and facilities are kept in good condition, reporting any issues to the Cell Leader in a timely manner.
* Ensure Correct Labelling: Ensure all production items are clearly identified with the correct labels as per company standards.
* Seek Best Practices: Continuously seek ways to improve processes, quality, and efficiency within the cell, encouraging best practices.
* Meet Deadlines: Maintain a consistent focus on completing tasks according to production schedules to ensure timely delivery.

The hours of work will be 07:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday and Friday 07:30 - 12:30, Breaks are 2 x 15 minutes.
