Salary: £36,000

Location: Manchester 

Role Overview

We are delighted to be working with one of Manchester's top property management firms, who are seeking a skilled Client Accountant to join their dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the finances of client monies held on behalf of investors, ensuring the efficient operation of property portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

As a Client Accountant, your role will involve:

- Reporting to clients, ensuring both standard and client-specific reporting is provided in accordance with agreed SLAs and KPIs.

- Accurately reconciling service charge income and expenditure.

- Acting as the first point of contact for client queries, providing professional support and advice when needed.

- Working closely with internal Surveying teams to ensure all client deliverables are met.

- Maintaining and overseeing property and lease data within the financial database.

- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

- Managing client and property cash flow and funding to ensure smooth financial operations.

- Conducting annual property service charge reviews, liaising with the Asset Manager and Service Charge Team to ensure all reviews meet best practice guidelines.

- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Attending client and internal meetings as necessary.

- Instructing the Treasury department regarding client-related transactions such as the collection of monies, amendments to client accounts, and payment of property-related transactions.

Key Skills

Our client is looking for an individual who is self-motivated, organised, and detail-oriented, with the following skills and experience:

- Strong financial and technical reporting experience within a client service role.

- Advanced Excel skills and a solid understanding of financial analysis.

- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both clients and internal teams effectively.

- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

- A team player who can adapt to an evolving and fast-paced environment.

- AAT qualified or qualified by experience, with a strong understanding of ledger management.

- A background in property transactions is desirable, but not essential.

- A proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
