Job Title: Customer Coordinator

Location: Rochdale

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Salary: £12.21 per hour

We are seeking an organised and dedicated Customer Coordinator for our client, based in Rochdale. This office-based role is focused on processing sales orders, arranging transport, and managing shipping/export documentation for UK and European customers. The primary goal is to ensure exceptional service and customer satisfaction at every stage of the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management: Process UK, European, and export orders, providing support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Documentation Preparation: Prepare essential paperwork, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and shipping/export documents.
  • Customer Communication: Keep customers informed regarding their orders and proactively address any delays or concerns.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with Operations and Despatch Teams to arrange collection and shipment of orders.
  • Financial Processes: Process proforma invoices and transactions involving Letters of Credit. Handle credit applications and assist the Accounts department in setting up new customer accounts.
  • Account Resolution: Work with the Accounts department to resolve issues with customer accounts that are on hold.
  • Database Maintenance: Ensure the CRM system is updated with accurate customer and company information, including pricing certification and GDPR compliance.
  • Complaint Management: Log and report any non-conformance or transit damages. Record customer complaints in Qpulse for review.
  • Team Support: Provide desk cover for the Customer Service team, including telephonist and reception duties.
  • Sales Coordination: Offer effective communication and support to Territory Managers.
  • Customer Queries: Handle customer enquiries efficiently, delivering a high standard of service.
  • Qualifications & Skills:
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in order processing, logistics, or customer service is advantageous.
