Location: Stockport (Flexible working hours available)

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 Dependent on Experience (DOE)

About Us:

We are a dynamic main contractor with a strong reputation in the commercial, retail, and industrial sectors. Our focus is on delivering high-quality fit-out and refurbishment projects ranging from £100K to £10 million. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach and are looking to expand our established pre-construction and estimating team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documentation received to ensure all project requirements are understood.
  • Break down projects into packages and issue these to subcontractors for pricing.
  • Attend site visits and meet with different trades to gather relevant information and assess site conditions.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fit-out and refurbishment projects across various sectors.
  • Price and compile tender returns to submit to clients.
  • Discuss potential projects with clients to clarify scope and expectations.
  • Collaborate with the pre-construction team to analyze project specifications and requirements.
  • Conduct thorough market research to source subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare detailed take-offs and bills of quantities.
  • Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits as required.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and pricing.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and methodologies.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry, preferably in fit-out and refurbishment projects.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating software and tools.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related field are preferred.
