Middleton

£38,000 - £42,000

Contract Type: Short-term contract with potential for permanent

Working Hours: Days-based role, 07:00 - 15:00

 

About the Role:

We are urgently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a short-term contract, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position. The ideal candidate will be multiskilled and possess a strong background in mechanical fitting, with specific expertise in pumps, conveyors, pneumatics, and fault finding on control systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, conveyors, and pneumatic systems.
  • Conducting fault finding and diagnostics on control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
  • Multiskilled with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Electrical qualification.
  • Proficiency in working with pumps, conveyors, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
