Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Warrington
Salary and Perks:

Seeking a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the Commercial Director and collaborate within a team of 3 other Quantity Surveyors. You will be joining an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) business, fostering a unique work environment that values both teamwork and individual growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing 2-3 live projects concurrently while contributing to the tendering process and final account completion on completed projects.
* Assisting the Estimating Department with tenders when required.
* Compiling project budget cost data and formulating Management Reports (CVR).
* Monitoring and updating CVR to ensure accurate profit/loss projections.
* Producing project cash flow and commercial appraisal reports.
* Creating and maintaining subcontract procurement schedules.
* Evaluating, vetting, and selecting subcontract tenders in line with project specifications.
* Collaborating with project teams to select suitable subcontractors that align with financial and program requirements.
* Monitoring subcontractors' accounts, validating claims, and revaluing works as needed.
* Resolving subcontractor issues and raising concerns with the project team or Commercial Director.
* Facilitating timely subcontractor payment applications and issuing notices as per agreed terms.
* Active participation in site meetings, project reviews, and internal monthly cost meetings.
* Reporting significant commercial risks to the Commercial Director.
* Preparing monthly valuations, agreeing with relevant stakeholders, and issuing invoices to clients.
* Collaborating with Buying department for project materials procurement.
* Engaging with Site Manager and Contracts Manager on project's commercial aspects.
* Liaising with Client's Agent/Quantity Surveyor/Architect to address project-related concerns.
* Ongoing and final agreement of external final accounts under the main contract.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* A proven background as a Quantity Surveyor in various sectors (excluding housing).
* Previous experience working for a regional contractor of similar size (preferred).
* Strong proficiency in quantity surveying principles, project cost management, and procurement.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Relevant degree or qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
