Job Specification: Site Manager
Location: Northwest
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Package
Overview:
A dynamic construction contractor, well-regarded for its work within NHS and Education sectors, is seeking an Entry-Level Site Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will manage sites across the Northwest, overseeing projects with values ranging from £200K to £1.5M. Projects include Mechanical & Electrical, Refurbishment, Finishes, and Fit-Out works.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to progress their career with a reputable contractor offering growth, training, and competitive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management: Oversee and manage the day-to-day running of multiple sites, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Health & Safety: Manage health & safety regulations on-site and ensure compliance with relevant safety protocols.
Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labourers, and other personnel on-site.
Client Liaison: Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
Reporting: Complete weekly site reports and communicate project status to the Contracts Manager.
Cost & Time Management: Ensure projects stay on track and meet cost and time targets.
Inductions: Conduct site inductions for all new site personnel.
Training: Participate in ongoing professional development, including relevant health & safety training (e.g., Fire Marshall).
Key Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience at Site Manager level in a construction environment.
Industry Background: Experience with mechanical and electrical projects, refurbishments, and fit-outs is ideal.
Certifications: SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), First Aid.
Desirable: A background in maintenance or mechanical works is beneficial.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Occasional out-of-hours work (evenings and weekends), though not frequent.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year, depending on experience.
