Now as part of their continued growth and expansion they are in search of a Skilled Machinist to operate CNC vertical borers and additional machinery. The role entails machining diverse components in Chrome Irons and SG Irons, utilizing Fanuc Controls within a medium to heavy setting.
Operators will be tasked with manufacturing components to precise specifications, maintaining a high standard of quality while prioritizing safety. They must also be proficient in editing programs and adjusting tool settings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Possess a positive outlook on modern manufacturing processes
* Be willing to embrace lean manufacturing principles and engage with improvement activities
* Demonstrate self-motivation
* Be able to produce work to the required specifications
* Possess the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
* Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Completed apprenticeship in relevant sector
* Experience in CNC machining is essential
* Experience machining castings is desirable
* Background in heavy engineering
* Proven track record of machining parts to precise specifications
* Knowledgeable in programming
COMPENSATION:
* Competitive skilled rate £17.05 per hour
* Shift premium
* 37 Hours based on site
* 25 Days holiday plus 8 statutory days
* Pension Scheme 4% with 6% Company Contributions, 6% with 9% Company Contributions & 8% with 12% Company Contributions
* Employee perk scheme (Perkbox) access
* Any further training will be provided if required
