Time Recruitment are currently working with a well established manufacturer who specialise in the manufacturing of glues and adhesives, and due to expansion are looking to add a checmical process engineer to their team.

Our client buys in raw materials and polymers which are dissolved into flammable solvents. Some of the polymers require dry compounding and granulation beforehand.

The role:
* Working in a factory environment operating a Banbury mill, roll mills and granulators.
* This role requires the candidate to understand the nature of working with hazardous chemicals, and the full health and safety issues surrounding them.
* The candidate will be weighing out raw materials and dry processing the polymers and mainly powder additives using either a Banbury mill or roll mill.
* The resultant sheeted polymer is then granulated.
* The candidate will be required to carry other duties in the factory.
* Whilst working in the factory there will be other aspects of the job that require:
o Good attention to detail, following procedures and instructions.
o Working within specific health and safety guidelines.
o Ensuring that work stations at kept clean and safe at all times.
o Limiting the use of waste materials.
o Ensuring accurate records are kept at all times, using numeracy and good standard of written English.
o Working to strict deadlines.

Person Spec
* Experience in dry compounding of polymers
* Reliable timekeeping.
* Attention to detail.
* Used to working to health and safety guidelines.
* Familiar with Hazardous Chemicals and different uses.
* FLT License - counter balance.
* Good standard of numeracy and written English.
* Manual Handling up to 25 kilos.
* Software/ Equipment Used Banbury Mill Roll Mills Granulators
* Counterbalance FLT

Qualifications/Experience
* Maths and English A - C
* Experience in dry compounding of polymers

Pay and Benefits

Salary/Hourly Rate: Approx £27,500

Hours of Work: 8am - 5pm weekdays

Holiday Entitlement: 25 days
Pension 8% company contribution, 1% minimum employee contribution
Full PPE equipment will be provided
