About the Company: We are an SME-sized business specializing in office and workspace fit out and design, located in the Northwest. As a main contractor, we focus on CAT A & B works and the conversion of industrial spaces and warehouses into modern office environments.
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in tendering for projects, assessing costs, and contributing to the continued success of our growing business.
Responsibilities: Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for office and workspace fit-out projects, considering all relevant factors. Tendering Process: Manage the end-to-end tendering process, from reviewing project specifications to submitting comprehensive bids. Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to ensure our bids remain competitive. Project Range: Handle tenders ranging from £10K to £6Mil, with the typical project value falling between £100K and £500K. Geographic Scope: Manage tenders for projects, with 60% of work focused in the Northwest and 40% nationwide. Site Visits: Conduct weekly site visits and additional visits as needed for measurements and project assessments. Remote Work: Predominantly office-based with flexibility for occasional remote work.
Qualifications: Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in office and workspace fit out. Familiarity with CAT A & B works and warehouse conversions. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Knowledge of relevant software tools for estimating. Package:
