Job Specification - Site Foreman (Joiner Background)

Location: Nationwide

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Permanent

Rate: £23 per hour CIS

Interviews: 2-stage

About the Role:

Our client is actively seeking a hands-on Site Foreman with a Joinery background and either SSSTS or SMSTS (or willingness to gain it upon starting). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, fast-paced fit-out contractor delivering turnkey retail refurbishments across the UK - with Greggs and Tesco being two of their largest current accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Primarily on the tools.

Supporting and supervising small teams including overseeing M&E subcontractors

Acting as the key site contact - answering queries, maintaining safety & quality standards

Managing inductions, basic paperwork, and risk assessments

Keeping an eye on health and safety standards at all times

Reporting into a Contracts Manager and working alongside other foremen

Ideal Candidate:

A Joiner by trade with experience in fast-track retail fit-outs

Either has SMSTS / SSSTS or willing to complete upon starting

Ideal for someone happy being a "doer" with leadership capability

Able to work nationwide - accommodation and mileage are covered, and there is a company van available from the office

Good communicator, dependable, and proactive on-site

Willing to travel and work intensive schedules with downtime after completion

Working Pattern:

12-hour days on-site, working through to completion

After each job: 2-4 days off (based on site schedule)

Projects are across the UK with active jobs in London, Leeds, Kent, Scotland & Coventry

Bank Holidays may be worked, depending on programme
