Job description

Job Title: Nursery Nurse
Location: Wythenshawe, M22
Reports To: Room Leader, Assistant Manager, Nursery Manager
Hours: 40 per week
Hourly rate: £11.44 (dependent on experience and level of qualification)

Purpose of the Role:
* Quality Care: Provide high-standard physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children.
* Support and Communication: Maintain effective communication and support within the team.
* Team Collaboration: Create an enabling environment for children to play, learn, and develop.
* Parent Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents to meet each child's needs.
* Stimulating Environment: Offer fun, engaging environments that support children's interests and learning.
* Safeguarding: Recognize safeguarding signs and follow procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* EYFS Implementation: Deliver and implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Record Keeping: Maintain high standards of record-keeping and update children's online learning journals.
* Parent Partnerships: Communicate effectively with parents to support children's learning and care.
* Encouraging Home Learning: Engage parents in their child's learning journey at home.
* Quality Environment: Ensure a high-quality environment with appropriate resources and support for all children.
* Safeguarding Training: Attend and apply safeguarding training.
* Reporting Procedures: Follow correct procedures for safeguarding concerns.
* Out of Hours Activities: Participate in activities such as open days and training.
* Flexibility: Undertake various duties as needed, including domestic tasks and food preparation.
* Team Collaboration: Work with the management team to fulfill the setting's values and philosophy.

Qualifications and Skills:
* NVQ Level 3 - Early Years Education and Care
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Knowledge of the EYFS framework
* Understanding of safeguarding practices
