Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: Negotiable

Role Overview:
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management and monitoring of the financial and commercial performance for a new healthcare development project in Bournemouth. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong financial acumen, and the ability to support and advise the operational team to ensure the successful delivery of all financial elements of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Management: Oversee and manage the financial and commercial aspects of the project.
Subcontract Procurement: Source and procure subcontractors as needed.
Site Measures: Conduct site measurements and assessments.
Monthly CVRs: Produce accurate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) on a monthly basis.
Budget Analysis: Analyze project budgets and ensure cost control.
EWN and Compensation Events: Raise and agree on Early Warning Notices (EWN) and compensation events.
Contract Administration: Handle the general commercial administration of the contract.
Cost Control and Value Management: Implement effective cost control and value management practices.
Forecasts and P&Ls: Produce accurate monthly forecasts, CVRs, and Profit & Loss statements.
Supply Chain Development: Develop and maintain local supply chains.
Programme Administration: Administer the commercial aspects of the programmes.
Payment Agreements: Agree on applications for supply chain payments and final accounts.
WIP Analysis: Conduct monthly Work In Progress (WIP) analysis and control cash flow.
Variation Accounts: Manage variation accounts and subcontract payments.
Dashboard Reports: Produce dashboard reports to reflect key commercial KPIs.
Contractual Advice: Advise the team on contractual issues and manage variation accounts and final account forecasts.

Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry, particularly in healthcare, energy, or communications sectors.
Contracts: Familiarity with NEC 3 and/or NEC 4 agreements.
Skills: Strong cost control, value management, and financial forecasting skills.
Software: Proficiency in using relevant software for cost management and forecasting.
Communication: Excellent communication skills for liaising with operational teams and supply chains.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial management.
